Inventory Management
Each item has a 15 character length and can be defined with a 5 character
unit of measure, substitute item, replacement item and manufacturers number.
Stock levels are automatically maintained on a real-time basis. Item Data
is comprehensive without being complicated or confusing. Most entries are
validated to user-defined parameter files.

Parameter Maintenance
The following aspects of the system are supported by parameters which enable
flexible use of the order entry system:
- Item classes
- Stock inventory groups
- Stock value groups
- Company details
- Warehouse types
Item/Warehouse maintenance
An item can be recorded at 1 - 999 actual or theoretical warehouses. For
each item at a particular warehouse the following default information can
be recorded:
- location (one per item/warehouse)
- unit of measure
- minimum balance
- maximum balance
- safety stock (quantity)
- fixed order quantity
- economic order quantity
- lead time (days)
- supplier number. This information can be changed as and when required.
Stock transaction Entry
All transactions can be batch or interactively entered.The Stock Enquiry
facility gives up to the minute stock and price information and is available
by warehouse. Stock movements are recorded by the following types:
- Sales
- Credits
- Receipts
- Issues
- Adjustments
- Purchase Orders
- Returns to Suppliers
- Indirect Shipments
- Reserve Stock
- Transfer Stock
Stocktaking
Stocktaking is supported by selecting a specific group of stock items for
which stocktaking is required. The selection can be a 'from' 'to' combination
of the following:
- Warehouse
- Inventory Group
- Supplier
- Item Class
- Stocktake Group
- Location
- Item Number
The profile of a selected stocktake is stored on the system and the user
then has the ability, against any profile stored, to :
- Print stocktake sheets
- Enter count figures
- Print variance reports
- Update stock figures
Any number of profiles can be stored. However specific items are locked
if they appear in more than one profile.
Interface from Purchasing
- When orders are placed, all on-order figures are updated on the relevant
item/warehouse record.
- As stock is received through purchasing all on-hand figures are updated
interactively.
Reporting
The Inventory Management Module currently supports the following reports:
- daily stock movements
- stock status by item
- stock status by supplier
- theoretical stock valuation by warehouse/supplier
- stock movement history
